On September 27 -29 another Carving Competition took place in conjunction with the Woodstock Woodworking Show and it was a busy place.

The Tri County Carvers from Otterville helped out in many functions, but went home as well with many ribbons. Two of the more outstanding carvings from the Otterville group were created by Mike Sauka .One was the large “Land and Sea” Sculpture, the other one the carving of a horse pulling a wagon as it was done in the days of the tobacco farmers in our area many years ago. Mike still remembered the name of the horse.

My participation was rewarded with a first place ribbon for “Magical Wands” in the Multi Category Creations, as well as some other ribbons for two woodburnings.
